Trend Spotting: Espadrilles

You’d have to be living under a style rock to have missed the Chanel espadrilles that have popped up on oodles of fashion bloggers and fashion mavens alike. With their oversized logo, they’ve quickly launched a cult following similar to the craze that has yet to die down around the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers. This style of shoe has actually long been popular. It’s a chic and comfortable summer shoe option that is yet another one of my picks for classic items that are worth having in your wardrobe. Originating in the Pyrenees, this style of shoe has been produced in one form or another for centuries. Shown booth as a wedge and a flat shoe, you can often find them tied with a pretty ribbon making them a clear choice for my already slightly overstuffed closet. I’m thinking the pink lace Valentino pair above would make a very welcome addition…don’t you Darling Husband?

I enjoy long walks through Neiman Marcus, red soled shoes, skinny black pants, oversized cocktail rings, obnoxious bows, nipped waists and full skirts.

Who else was obsessed with the @balenciaga City Ba Who else was obsessed with the @balenciaga City Bag in the early aughts ? I fell in love with it thanks to British It-Girls Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, it was such an “It Bag” and I had to have it. Its popularity might have been eclipsed by quite a few other styles, but I still find myself reaching for mine. 📸 by @brightcutmedia #balenciagacity #balenciagacitybag #bragmybag #itbags #outfitdetails #bagloverscommunity
